Gable Cottage - Main Bedroom
The cottage itself is a comfortable place to stay. The cottage has an excellent central heating system and is wonderfully warm on the harshest winter days. The shower room has a built in shower cubicle to give you a long hot shower after a day in the fells.

The main bedroom has
a double bed, wardrobe
and chest of drawers.

Gable Cottage - Bunk Bedroom
The second bedroom is a double bedroom with views over the town of Keswick to Walla Crag.

The river Greta runs under a bridge fifty yards from Gable Cottage. Water fowl can be observed from the bridge swimming and feeding. For those interested in bird life, in the summer, Ospreys live around Bassenthwaite Lake and can be watched from the RSPB hide on Dodd, two miles to the north of the cottage.

Derwent Water is only a ten minute walk away. A short boat ride will take you to the foot of Cat Bells or to the dramatic Lodore Falls.

The summit of Latrigg is one hour's walk from Gable Cottage and commands spectacular views of Borrowdale and Bassenthwaite Lake.
