Coniston

Fisherbeck is a 17th century farmhouse recently converted into two holiday apartments. It has fabulous views across Coniston Water to Coniston Old Man and the village of Coniston nestling at its feet(one and a half miles away by road). The two apartments each have a double and a twin room and can be booked individually to sleep up to four or together for up to eight.

Both apartments are equipped to a high standard with dishwashers, washer dryers, microwaves, audio systems, televisions, videos, games and lots of books.

Coniston Lake
Looking south from the top of the lake near Monk Coniston pier, just five minutes from Fisherbeck.

A few yards below the entrance to Fisherbeck is a footpath that goes towards Ruskin's house "Brantwood" with spectacular views across the lake. Walk a little further down the lane and you come to Monk Coniston pier from which you can catch the Coniston Launch and sail to Brantwood and beyond. Alternatively just sit on one of the benches at this wonderful viewpoint. A forty minute walk in the other direction brings you to Tarn Hows and numerous footpaths including the path around the tarn.
