Ellwood House is an 18th century stone cottage with adjoining barn. Generously proportioned
with a large garden overlooking open countryside. It sits, elevated, just above the picturesque
village of Caldbeck where the rivers meet in the dramatic northern fells.

"Absolutely gorgeous, in lovely surroundings, wonderful to have everything provided……"

|
Car excursions are easy and relaxing; Carlisle, Penrith, Keswick, Derwent Water, Bassenthwaite Lake and the seaside resorts of the Solway Firth are all reachable within 25 minutes.
North Lakeland benefits from an absence of traffic unrivalled elsewhere in the lakes.

Inside, the cottage is spacious and furnished to a high standard. It boasts large dining and lounge areas with a three-piece suite around a natural open fire.
|
|
A footpath 100 yards
below the cottage follows Gill Beck, leading to the Caldbeck fells of High Pike and Carrock Fell and onwards
to Skiddaw. Miles of empty roads and fell paths fan out to create a wonderful network for cyclists
and walkers alike.
In short, the area is a haven for walking, cycling, riding, fishing and wildlife.
