Home of John Peel, the village is popular but never overcrowded. There is excellent local amenity; a village store, craft centre together with a pub and cafe serving excellent meals and teas. Caldbeck even has it's own cricket and bowls club and bookable tennis courts. Staying close to home is sometimes a conveniently pleasant alternative to walking the fells! Everything is no more than 10 minutes walk away.
